Writers Workshop Enrollment & Manuscripts

All applications must be postmarked no later than May 16, 2008. Between 75-80 participants will be accepted. Notification of acceptance will take place on June 2, 2008. Please submit your best work in one genre only and be sure to indicate what that genre is on the application form. Limit your manuscript submission to the following number of pages::

Novel, Memoir, Young Adult or Nonfiction (30 or less)
Short Story, Poetry or Playwriting (20 or less)
Children's Writing (15 or less)

All manuscripts should be double-spaced, using one-inch margins, 12-point type and no unusual fonts.

Send two copies of your manuscript if submiting in the Novel, Short Story, Poetry or Memoir. One should have your name on it and the second one should be a blind copy. If there are too many manuscript submissions in any of these four genres, the blind copy will be read and ranked by an outside reader. Once the rankings are received you will be notified if you have been accepted or placed on the waiting list. Please do not ask where you are ranked.
