Family Folk Week Fees & Housing

Campus housing consists of dormitory and cottage-style housing. Families are housed together with shared bathroom facilities. Because most housing is on hillsides, please indicate if you are unable to walk up steep inclines. All buildings are smoke-free and air conditioned. No pets, firearms, drugs or alcohol are permitted. Housing is assigned by staff, based on the makeup of the group. Primitive camping is also available.

Participants must furnish their own towels and washclothes. Participants are also required to help with certain common chores like housekeeping and dishwashing.

Price includes tuition, room and board for six nights on the Settlement campus (Sunday through Friday night). Meals include supper on Sunday through breakfast on Saturday.

Fees (Note: Some classes include an additional materials fee)

Adults (17 and older)..............$600 each
Children (4-16)......................$200 each
Children (3 and under)...........No Charge

For those making their own off-campus housing arrangements, tuition is $300 for adults and $200 for children (4-16 years). Meals may be purchased at the Settlement School dining hall: Breakfast $8.00, Lunch $8.00 and Dinner $10.00.

Quiltmaker Inn Housing

The Inn, located in downtown Hindman, is a three minute walk from campus. It has a limited number of rooms and will be made available to adults only, due to the steep steps and downtown traffic. Each room has basic furnishings: one double bed, TV and A/C. The Inn is not handicap accessible.

Cost for a private room with private bath is $700 (1 person) and $1,300 (2 people), including tuition and meals.

A private room with shared bath (shared with an adjoining room) is $650 (1 person) and $1,250 (2 people) including tuition and meals.

Guests will need to furnish their own towels and washcloths.
