
GED Program
The Knott County Adult Education Center provides assistance to adults who wish to obtain their GED (General Equivalency Diploma), including the following:
- Computer-assisted instruction
- Evening classes
- Free books, materials and instruction
- Off-site class locations
- Home tutors
- Handicapped-accessible facilities
GED Test Qualifications
First time applicants under 19 should:
- Have been officially withdrawn from school for one year or enrollment class has graduated;
- Request official withdrawal documentation be sent to the Adult Learning Center;
- Successfully complete an Official GED Practice Test at the Adult Learning Center; and
- Complete a GED testing application.
First time applicants 19 years and older should:
- Schedule a practice test at the Adult Learning Center; and
- Complete a GED testing application at the Adult Learning Center.
