Each summer Hindman Settlement School hires approximately 35 tutors and supervisors to work in the Summer Tutoring Program. We give first consideration to tutors who have experience working in our program but also typically hire several new tutors.
Summer School will be held June 17-July 19, 2013 and tutor training will take place from June 12th-14th. Tutors will be paid for the days of training at the end of summer school, if you complete the program. Our program is full-time (M-F) for five weeks. If you are planning on taking any vacation during this time, do not apply!
We have a mandatory drug screening policy for all employees of Hindman Settlement School including Summer School workers. Because of the number of Summer School workers and the costs of drug screenings, all drug screenings are random. If you refuse to be tested then you will be dismissed. All hires are also subject to a background check.
